Mission Helping Hand

Mission Helping Hand is a mutual aid program based in the South Bronx that is addressing the need for food justice and equity in the poorest congressional district in America. Through their initiative, The Garden Project, MHH has partnered with local community gardens to provide uplifting spaces for the community in which to grow food and surround oneself with nature. I had the pleasure of profiling those who make MHH possible and photographing one of their community gardens, El Coqui Liberation Garden, in 2020.
